Hair Color Combinations
There are a lot of questions people in the beauty industry have in their heads when it comes to color combinations and color science.

This article will provide you with some practical tips on hair color combinations, color psychology, and how to combine colors together. Mixing colors together, color theory, and color combinations are some questions that many people within the beauty industry have.

This article discusses a solution about these combinations that will address your concerns effortlessly. You will learn about a combination of hair colors that you may not have known existed or may not have used yet.

In most hair color brands, the most natural color starts with letter N and they are ranging from N1 to N10. I will explain various color combinations according to hair color catalogs.

Numbers before the decimal points, such as 1.0, 2.0, or 3.0; the number before the decimal point signifies the primary number, and the one after the decimal point represents the color tonnage.

For example, if you want to go with N8 hair color or 8.0, the number 0 indicates that the color is natural, and the number 8 indicates the base color of your hair,. Therefore color number 8.0 means natural 8 color.

For those who don't have a catalog, you can read the name from the hair color box. For instance beige, matte, or golden. The base color is written first for example in N8.2, number 8 represents the base color and number 2 represents the matte color, which is an olive-like color.

Next, we have smokey colors, called Ash here. For example, in 6.1, number 6 is the base and 1 represents the color tonnage that indicates Ash color. Typically, copper colors like 6.44 or 6.56 are warm colors. From the word "copper" we can learn the color's tonality. Here 6 is the base color and 0.44 is the copper color.

You may wish to create copper-like color hue with some colors which do not have copper shade. A color combination such as red plus yellow, for example, can be achieved by using cherry red instead of red with base 6 or 7, and a golden color with the same base (6 or 7).

As a rule of thumb, The color for your main color should match the base color  you choose. This means that you should not use the base color number 9 for your copper color because it can ruin the color of your hair if you wash it. Hence, if you want a copper combination, choose basic colors such as No. 6 or 7 that have red or copper tonnage.

Golden color base is useful in several ways. A golden combination can be used to cover white hair. We can use golden Number 5 and umber 6 to conceal white hair for older women who wish to cover it while it won't look gray instead of gold. A golden color base hides white hair better than other colors and gives another color a warmer look. Use a golden color base with other colors to create a harmonious look.

We shall now discuss the color of tobacco. The majority of high-quality tobacco colors have three hue numbers, namely 5/6/7 for representing the basic numbers for tobacco.

In tobacco, there are no Number 9 or Number 10 or darker tones so you can blend colors based on what we described here. For instance, in "5.45", 5 is the base color, and 45 is your tobacco tonnage. Always try to use natural shades when combining colors.

Next are the Nescafe colors, which have 5,6,7,8,9 numbers in the base. Although the majority of hair colors use No. 10 for basic colors and No. 10.47 or No. 9.47 for caramel colors, we can still use base colors from No. 5 to No. 8 for Nescafe hue colors.

In many high-quality hair colors, there are a combination called Golden Ash, if we want to use the combination of golden and ash, then we can use base colors number 7, 8, or 9 but base colors No. 5 and 6 are not appropriate, so just choose a base color of number 8 or 9.

Most wine-colored hues come in two varieties, one of which is mixed with purple and another without it. A hazel combination would be nice, but how can we combine the colors? Hazel is a color with a lot of red in it, so we would use the combination number 5.65 and natural color numbers 5 and 6.

Red colors are presented from base number 4 to 7, so we don't have a red color with base number 10. You must combine red color in its base color. Therefore, if you want to use 7.66, where 7 is the base color and 66 is the red tonnage, you must follow the base numbers for each color. In other words, if you are using decoupage or deco cream, use red color number 6 or 7. Likewise, if you are using bleach or red powder, use it twice to stabilize the color combination.

Mahogany and chestnut colors are close together, so it is possible to use them instead of each other. We have chestnut color numbers 3 to 6 or 5 but we do not have basic numbers 9 or 2. It is possible to make these colors by mixing natural colors with tobacco, which has less red tonnage, which in turn will give you a beige color.

In base numbers 8,9,10, the beige color does not appear in numbers 5 or 6. If we want this combination, we can combine smokey and golden colors, but high-quality already has this combination and mixing it is less comfortable than mixing this beige combination.

There are usually two or three numbers associated with honey-color. Basic hair colors are 7,8,9. Most hair colors have two combinations, one is dark honey color and the other is bright honey color. We can mix golden combinations with caramel to skip a mixture of red and yellow colors. Honey-color is composed of combinations of golden color.

In the case of hemp color, there are 2 numbers; base 6 and base 9. Dark hemp colors have bases of 6 and 9 and 88 represents hemp's weight. Here again, 6 and 9 refer to the base of hair colors. You use number 6 in the base of 6 or 7 and 9 in the base of 8 or 9.

For chocolate, there are two sets of colors: 5 and 6. The chocolate color only has these two combinations. Using number 5 and 6, we can determine the tonnage.

In most hair colors, you can use highlights in 6 or 7 color combinations for staining. These are beautiful combinations that you can use individually. If you prefer a more natural look, you can use 12.0 instead of 3.0 or to make your hair look more bright.

It is possible to use all of these highlights for bright colors. For example, Number 12.1 is smokey, and 12.3 is olive hue. Here 12 is a base, 1 or 3 are tonnage. The number 12.5 is golden, while the number 12.9 is for a pearl color that is very useful, and the number 12.12 is also useful as it is silver.

To come up with mixed colors, we use colors like red, blue, green, or silver, and we can combine them with other colors like any other green, red, or blue shade. It is possible to combine a 000 mix tone that is used for bleaching and brightening and a number 12. As an example, we could add some smokey color to Nescafe, but don't add too much to blend out the red color. Just make sure you don't combine red and smokey colors together since warm and cold colors cannot mix together.

When a person doesn't like a red color, you can add a little smokey or add some caramel or beige. To smooth the darkness, add a golden color. People who use bleach and want to make their hair darker can add red color to the Nescafe colors and avoid the green or smokey shades.
